Established in 1957, Megadyne is one of the best known brands in the belt industry. The company’s belts are known world-wide for their excellent quality and versatile selection that provides a suitable product for all industrial applications.
Timing belts, V belts, flat belts, and Poly-V belts
Megadyne’s selection covers all of the typical belt types. The belt’s basic body material is rubber or polyurethane. The tensile cords that are relevant for the power transmission capacity of the belt are selected for the various belt types in accordance with the qualities and applications required.
Rubber belts have various uses in industrial power transmission applications. Megadyne’s rubber belts are manufactured from high-quality material with state-of-the-art technologies. The rubber belt selection covers the most common tooth profiles and standard measurements – even dual-sided products. Megadyne’s rubber belt selection includes all of the more common V belts and timing belts.
In the V belt selection: narrow, classic, grouped V belts, Poly-V belts, variator belts, V belts as piece goods, and adjustable link V belts (AccuLink).
The rubber timing belt selection is extensive. In addition to standard profiles and sizes 3M, 5M, 8M, 14M, MXL, XL, L , H, XH, and XXH, most of these are also available dual-sided or as piece goods.
Megadyne’s ‘HTD’ rubber cogged belt is RPP marked. In contrast to the HTD tooth profile, it has a notch in the middle of the tooth. The RPP belts operate fully on HTD pulleys, but the notch improves the efficiency of the belt drive. Operation is quieter, and the belt ‘bites’ the pulley better, since the air can escape from underneath the tooth.

For power transmission and linear use. Megadyne’s polyurethane belts have been designed to be durable, easy to use, and maintenance-free. The belt selection includes all of the most common tooth profiles and standard sizes – also available dual-sided. Widths always in accordance with the application. The standard steel tensile cords can be replaced with other materials, such as Kevlar, for special applications.
